About NonCable
Our Mission
NonCable was founded with a simple yet powerful mission: to help people everywhere cut the cord and take control of what they watch and what they pay, through approachable guidance and free tools that make comparing streaming services, mapping out which channels you actually get, budgeting your monthly subscriptions, and picking the right device clearer, more rewarding, and more practical.
We believe that everyone who watches TV, from lifelong cable subscribers to first-time streamers, deserves access to accurate tools, comprehensive resources, and trustworthy guidance. Our platform bridges the gap between confusing plans and bundles and confident, well-informed decisions about streaming services and live-TV alternatives, monthly costs and channel line-ups, devices and antennas, sports and local stations, hidden fees, and streaming smart.
Through our free collection of tools, we help cord-cutters make informed decisions about subscription budgets, which services carry the channels they want, how streaming plans stack up against a cable bill, device and internet-speed needs, and more. Every tool is designed with real-world applicability in mind, tested against the day-to-day realities of choosing, stacking, and rotating streaming services, and continuously improved based on user feedback. To go deeper, explore our guides on live-TV streaming, free ad-supported TV, over-the-air antennas, and the cultures and history behind how we watch.
Our Story
NonCable emerged from a need we experienced firsthand. While trying to sort through conflicting advice and scattered comparison pages, we noticed a common challenge: the lack of accessible, accurate tools for the everyday decisions that come with dropping cable, running the numbers on a streaming budget, and making the most of every subscription.
Smart cord-cutting relies heavily on curiosity and a little know-how, which are invaluable. However, a confident viewer also benefits from clear answers about how a streaming budget breaks down, which service carries a favorite show or game, what a plan costs after the intro price ends, which device to buy, and how much a full setup really saves. We saw an opportunity to combine well-researched streaming knowledge with modern tools to help people make confident decisions about every subscription.
Our team began developing tools that we wished existed when we canceled our own cable. Each calculator and guide was created to solve real problems encountered when comparing services, stacking subscriptions, or setting up a streaming device. We tested every tool against real-world prices and line-ups, refined the logic based on feedback, and ensured that the results reflected current, widely accepted cord-cutting practice.
Today, NonCable serves active users worldwide, from cable holdouts to seasoned streamers. Our tools have helped people budget subscriptions, compare services, check channel coverage, size up devices and internet needs, and make more deliberate, confident decisions about how they watch.

Our team includes experienced cord-cutters, writers, and reviewers who bring years of combined experience to tool development. We regularly consult provider pricing pages and trusted experts to ensure our content reflects current best practices. Our content is general informational and educational content, NOT professional financial or contractual advice; results vary — prices, plans, channel line-ups, and availability of streaming services change often and are not guaranteed, so always verify current pricing and coverage on the provider’s official site before subscribing.
